Questions to ask before any cosmetic treatment
Questions to ask before any cosmetic treatment
A good consultation is an interview — and you are the one hiring. Great clinics welcome these questions; evasive answers are themselves an answer.
About the practitioner
- Who exactly performs the treatment, and what is their qualification?
- How often do they perform this specific procedure?
- Can I see results from patients with a similar starting point?
About the treatment
- What result is realistic for me — and what is not?
- What are the common side effects, and the rare serious ones?
- What brand/product/technique will be used, and why that one?
- How long does the result last, and what does maintenance cost?
About the aftermath
| Question | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| What does recovery actually look like? | Social downtime is often longer than "medical" downtime |
| Who do I contact if something feels wrong? | You want a person, not an inbox |
| What happens if I need a correction? | Revision policies vary wildly |
If you feel rushed in the consultation, expect to feel rushed in the chair. The consultation is the product sample.
